Who could tell me something about this small wasp? Or where could I get more information? I found it ovipositing on the aphids I was going to feed to my ladybird larvae.  More images: http://stippen.nl...fotos/wasp |

It seems to be a species of the family Braconidae, subfamily Aphidiinae. |

The wasps will not parasitse the ladybirds. I do not know if that happens, but in the worst case the ladybirds may recognise a parasited aphid and leave it alone. Still, I think they are usually such fierce feeders that they will hardly be stopped eating any aphid, parasitesed or not.

They really are a handfull! I have to go out and find some more aphids now, as I don't want to risk them eating eachother!  |

Then be ware not to collect any aphid mummies because these will yield additional wasps.
