Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Bellin (east of Kiel), way between a mixed forest (Douglasie, Oaks, Beeches) and a pasture, where is a small pond nearby, at a leaf of Rubus sp., 26th of May 2022, (Photos: kuv). I've never seen such insect, and I haven't found it under addresses of the WWW. Please help to get the or more ID. Kuv kuv attached the following image: [175.2Kb] Edited by kuv on 01-02-2025 16:23 |

It's one of the Crabronidae, subfamily Crabroninae - Crossocerus?
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |

My guess is Nysson, likely N. spinosus. Greetings, Henrik |

Wooaaw, Eric, "Crabronidae" was the "key" (Initialzündung) to me! I found pictures of Nysson spinosus (s. http://aramel.fre...r-23.shtml - last third of the page) which are really similar to "my" wasp. But there is the remark that N. spinosus is not to distinguish from Nysson interruptus by photographs. Greetings Kuv Edited by kuv on 01-02-2025 16:15 |

Hi Henrik, just finishing the answer to Eric, I found your statement: Thank you very much . So I think it should be N. spinosus or N. interruptus. Greetings Kuv Edited by kuv on 01-02-2025 16:24 |
