I think I can just make out the onset of the fork in R4+5 in the right wing, so that would make it Empis. Should be near E. pennipes. The pennation on the legs serves as a visual trick to enlarge body size and thus suggests high(er) fertility in mating swarms (short version). Paul - - - - Paul Beuk on https://diptera.info |
