Hi, I'm new to this forum and was asked by a moderator of a determination-group on Facebook to post my picture here. He thinks it might concern a Colepia comatacauda or Loewinella virescens. My current location is Sicily (Italy) The picture was taken last week in Riserva naturale Dello Zingaro. Does anyone know what specie this is? cradenborg attached the following image: [193.52Kb] Edited by cradenborg on 20-08-2015 16:16 |

Feamale asilinae are hard to ID. The species mentioned are, as far as i know, not European. This creature seems to be close to Engeleopogon....although i can't se the bristles on the mesopleuron.
