Hi,
About 10 days ago I saw this small greenish Syrphid in a Philadelphus flower. It recalled a Chrysogaster, and the only "green match" was C. virescens. Can this be confirmed?
Thanks in advance, Sundew

Yes, that could very well be, but not entirely sure from these pictures...

It is either C. virescens or C. rondanii. Without a voucher we will never know.

Ok, I shall label it with this reservation. Many thanks to both of you!
