Another Bulgarian Bombyliid

This is another of the Bombyliid species seen on my recent tour to Bulgaria. I think this might be Systoechus ctenopteris or similar but would welcome suggestions confirming or correcting this tentative identification if possible. Hello Alan, This could be Sysoechus, yes. However. It could easily be a Bombylius. The difference is only visible in a lateral shot of the eyes. Then there are eight European species of Systoechus and I have currently no idea how to seperate them. Greetings, Ectemnius |
