Hi flyforum, I found this Empis(?) sp. yesterday, on a leave in some deciduous forest. It was frozen, didn't move anything. I thought it was affected with some fungus, the thorax with some dust.. But It was nott affected, it flew away quickly. It is a dark/grey species, obviously is the dark/black line on the thorax underneath/sidely. It looks like if this Empis(?) got a little beard, but I am not sure about that. do you have any idea? about this species? thank you Igor for your reaction, You say 'Rhamphmyia (Megacyttarus) so' Do you meant this species is Rhamphomyia cf Megacyttarus? In the dutch specieslist, I can not find such a species?
