Hello everyone,

I found this approximately 7 mm fly today in the Black Forest, southwest Germany. I assume a Suillia. Could it be Suillia atricornis or is it not possible to identify the species?

Greetings Siggi

OK!
It's the only Palaearctic species within the genus Suillia having 1 postpronotal bristle and black postpedicel :-)

Thank you very much for your explanation and the confirmation of my suspicion.

Greetings Siggi
