Hi I was wondering if someone could help with two id's, they may not even be in diptera, but any help or even direction would be greatly appreciated.....This odd looking one has a concave and pointed abdomen, it kinda reminds me of the shape of a leaf, long antennae, front legs more robust....

The one you described sounds like it may be a true bug, maybe one of the Reduviidae or Coreidae. But like Jan Willem said, see if you can attach images.
