Hi,
I'm unable to post new thread at forum "Other insects, spiders, etc." instead of "New Thread" button I see "No new Threads allowed at present" message.
It happen only on this forum, all the other forums seem to work fine.

Thanks

before, there were lots of non-dipteran posts, sometimes overpassing the dipteran posts! That's why the forum created a barrier. Wink Yep, now it is ok. Wink If the barrier didn't exist, it would overpass, sometimes, the dipteran posts and that consume some space as well..

So what are the rules for that barrier?
Is it personal rule? because I can see other members post new thread while I'm still blocked.

And why this forum created if non diptera post are not welcome here? I have an image of wasp similar to Syrphidae family and would like to post it there.

No... you are not blocked. Smile Also I cannot post in non-diptera forum right now. I think that is possible to post 5 threads per day (in that section). If you will go to put the 6th thread you cannot do that, me too, and also all the other members cannot do that.
The non-diptera posts are welcome, otherwise that section would never be created. Smile But, in truth it wasn't expect so many asks for non-diptera. Smile That?s why, I think, it was created that rule, and all agreed with that. Don?t worry, very soon we will have an international forum for wasps! Smile More free space for diptera. Wink

The rules:
1. A maximum of three new threads per day allowed in the forum.
2. A maximum of one new thread per three days per user.

Ad 1. This keeps the total number in the Latest Active Forum Threads panel (the main point of entry for most visitors) down to a reasonable level. Since replies are always possible it can still happen that Diptera threads are occasionally overwhelmed by non-Diptera threads.
Ad 2. This prevents the hijacking of the forum by some users that happen to be online 'first' all the time when a 'new thread' becomes available.
