I think this is a Limoniid crane fly.

Yes, and it's a true fly, so, is well put in the Diptera (Adult) identification queries.

Limonids and tipulids are very, very, very hard to id to genus level. I think that the species is impossible without collected specimen send to a specialist.

I think this crane fly is identifiable to the genus level by the knowledgable (not me). It possibly belongs to subfamily Eriopterinae, but again this is not sure, and will not get you much further.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
