Last weekend at Vallibierna Valley, Huesca, Aragon, Spain, at about 1700 meters high. Habitat: alpine prairies with florwers and some zones of pine forest (Pinus uncinata). Size: maybe 1 cm (much lesser than the enormous Anthidium that feed in my garden in Zaragoza, at 200 meters...)

Is possible the ID?

Hello,

It seems me that the males are identifiable by the spines on the end of the abdomen. I'm not sure at all, anyway, that this is a male.

Only some males are identifiable by the abdominal spines. Normally, other characters are needed. In the present specimen, I cannot say what species it is. Number of Anthidium species in the mediterranean area is very high.

Thanks to both. It's a pity that the identification was impossible...
