This one was the zone between Benasque and Batisielle's Lakes, Huesca, Aragon, Spain, medium to high Pyrenees. It was common between 1400 (forest of Fagus sylvatica, Corylus avellana, Pinus sylvestris) and 1700 (forest of Pinus uncinata) meters high. The fly visit the flowers, is bright and glabrous and can be a muscid. Sizes about 6-7 mm long.

Yes, and with the long snout and yellow wingbase it should be Cheilosia personata, a female!

Thanks to both! Another syrphid! There are some flies that I posted in Diptera Identification because I don't imagine that are syrphids...

Regards Wink

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
