Hi, Recently a saw a lot of small pupae (?) wrapped in a silvery net that stuck to a sunny brick wall. I would really like to know who made these things. Can anybody supply an explanation? Thanks, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [186.68Kb] |

Hypera (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) makes a similar case. |

The Hypera idea was unfortunately refused by a Berlin Coleoptera expert. He pointed to Lepidoptera (Glyphipterigidae subfamily Acrolepiinae) instead. The shape of their cocoons matches better. Many thanks nevertheless! |
