Photographed 2nd August 2015 at Clots de Rialba, eastern Pyrenees mountains, Spain, about 2400 meters in alpine meadows with acid marshes and some small flowing water courses, small groups of Pinus uncinata, pastures with horses (and less times, cows). Only slightly smaller than a Clogmia albipunctata. Some ideas about the genus and species, please? Thanks! Isidro attached the following image: [38.59Kb] |

It is one of the Pericomoid genera, size suggests Pneumia but can't say for certain. If you happen to collect and send some specimens I can probably get you a more precise answer. |

Thanks for reply. In fact we tried to collect this specimen or the others that we saw after in the same trip, but all of them flew up with no chance of capturing.

Two independent identifiers, one of them expert in psychodids, thinks that this is not Pneumia but rather Pericomini, probably Pericoma but nothing that they know. More opinions about this specimen would be welcome. |

Tribus Pericomaini is all I can say at the moment. Genus Pericoma has good chances, but that's it.
