Thecophora 'pusilla' (Conopidae). I've put pusilla in quotes as this species was recently split into two and the old name was found to be a junior synonym of Thecophora cinerascens. I don't remember the name of the other species which was grouped under the name pusilla. Both species may occur in France. Kahis |

Jere, Thanks for the additional information. I'll try to find out. It was rather easy to find: http://www.schweb...a_auct.pdf Two species previously overlooked as Thecophora pusilla auct. are here identified as Thecophora cinerascens MEIGEN, 1804 and Thecophora bimaculata (PREYSSLER, 1791) [status rev.]. This would be Th. cinerascens. Edited by pierred on 04-06-2007 13:45 Pierre Duhem |
