there's not much to look at here except a basic outline and some markings. I thought it looked syrphid-like but now I think it could be Bombyliidae. I'm still searching the web for a proper image of it. Which family is most likely or could it even be tabanidae? Found in Panama in january

I think Stratiomyidae would be more likely....
