Who is able to identify this Tipulid? The picture was posted on the photographyforum http://natuurfotografie.scene24.net/ by Bart Vancoppenolle (Belgium) for identification. I gave it a try but failed because the picture doesn't show all the features that seem to be necessary for identification. I shall ask the photographer for the additional information and post it here as soon as he has given this. This one actually is a female ptychopterid in the family Ptychopteridae and genus Ptychoptera. |
