Hello I am Ramon Ruiz de Tarragona Spain, while I follow the forum, but so far I have not participated. This is my first message. Well made the presentations. Here is my first asilido fly on this forum. I hope my journey. It is made in a steppe zone of Almeria, Spain.please what species is it?

Welcome Ramon, Spanish asilids are difficult for most of us because there not much literature on the topic. We will try though and sometimes we do have answers...: ). This is an interesting fly but this time i'm not even sure about genus probably a Machimus sp. Try to get as many pictures as you can from genitalia, legs and face. Lateral pictures are usually best.
