Hi,

is this a pupa of Bradysia spec., Sciaridae?
It was found in peat substrate in a production farm for ornamentals. Sciaridae are quite common in this habitat, but comparibly few adults and larvae were observed in this case.

Thanks for verification!

No, this is a beetle pupa - possibly Atheta (Staphylinidae) - occasionally used for biological control of Sciaridae. Perhaps it's working!

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
