Very good choise but C. marginatus would also be a very good choise. These two species are very hard to seperate. Have a look here please: http://www.geller-grimm.de/choerade.htm

Thanks Quaedfleigh, you are right, difficult choice but I checked with Fauna Europa and find C. femorata is absent of french mainland so, probably C. marginata. Greetings Eugene |

The status of C. femorata is unclear. When the species is definately recognised it will probably also be a French species.
