Hello,

yesterday i found this Syrphidae near D?sseldorf/West-Germany.

It's impossible for me to identify it per book or by searching the internet, so i hope somebody can help me.

Hello Maik,
This is a very difficult picture from which the fly has to be identified.
The reason is that this fly has only just emerged from it's pupa. That means that it's very soft, the wings are still a bit milky color and the color of the abdomen and thorax are different.
Given time, it's exoskeleton will harden and it's true colors will appear. And what is the species? This is a male of Eupeodes luniger!
For the colors when it's ready to fly, look for some pictures on the net!
Grin Greetings, Gerard

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
