I spotted this beautiful Tachinidae photo on Flickr. Looks very much like Clindromyia, but has a much redder abdomen than any I have ever seen. Any ideas which species it might be?

Yes, it is Cylindromyia (mark the spelling) bicolor, easily recognized by the reddish tip of the abdomen. A southern species (Mediterrean). Theo Zeegers |
