Hello, With its white dotted line on the bottom and spotted wings, what do you think of this Bombyliidae ? Can anyone give a genus - or even a species - name ? (Saint Apollinaire (Burgundy, France) - 25th April 2006) Thanks ! Edited by Arthropa on 21-04-2007 22:41 Benoit MARTHA |

Certainly Bombylius discolor, the white dots are only seen in the female and contrast strongly with the black hair on the tip of the abdomen making long-distance identification through binoculars posssible! |
