Hello!

I think we had a similar fly recently, but I can't find it anymore :-(. This tiny blue fly was visiting Potentilla sterilis blossoms yesterday at the forest edge (Ostwestfalen/Germany). It was spiny like a Tachinid, but I think the bend in vein M is not strong enough (?). So is it one of the metallic Muscids?

It is Calliphoridae, may be Melinda.

Hello, Nikita and Theo!

Thanks a lot! For the same reason as for Tachinidae I also had ruled out Calliphoridae...
Best regards,
Jürgen
