Hello! These 10 mm flies were sunbathing in numbers on tree trunks today (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Could it be Muscina prolapsa? Thanks! Jurgen Certainly looks like it to me - got the right dusting, right arrangement of thoracic setae, orange on tip of scutellum and at the base of antennae seg 3 . Susan |
