Hi,

I'd like to have your opinion with this fly : I'm even not sure of the family...

length was 5 mm from head to end of abdomen, pictures were made on 27th february 2006 in "La Londe les Maures", France, near the Mediterranean sea. The fly was on euphorb.

some other shots/closer views/details on request

i would say female Anthomyiidae - but I can be wrong... l

Muscidae - Helina. Could well be H. reversio.

Sad Another mistake. Dipters are not easy. Wink But it would be boring if they weren't hard to ID. Grin

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
