These were swarming in my garden this weekend. I know chironomids are pretty much impossible but can anyone get me further than family? 3mm The femora appear red-brown in contrast to the grey of the rest of the leg, (but this may be an artefact as the eyes also appear reddish in the lateral view but grey in the frontal view).
