Hello, I can't find anything in the gallery with the same colouration of the abdomen, so I need some help. I met the fly (3-4 mm) in September near a little stream in Southern Limburg. Ben Ben Hamers attached the following image: [55.25Kb] Edited by Ben Hamers on 21-05-2012 20:06 |

Thanks Nikita, It must be a good place for Argyra, because I made my only two other Argyra-pictures there too. Ben Ben Hamers attached the following image: [66.21Kb] Edited by Ben Hamers on 21-05-2012 20:05 |

I agree with Argyra. In addition, both males looks like different species. 1st male has longer 3rd segment of antenna and strong macrochetae on last abdominal segment. Igor. Igor Grichanov |

Thanks for confirming Igor, I saw males of Argyra more often but it's hard to make a picture of them, they seem to be very restless. Ben |
