Hello, There was a few of these floating not far from the surface of my pond on 15th October, near Lincoln UK. I think they were enjoying the warmth of the sun. Size approx. 10mm. definitely a Chaoborus larva, but without a detailed photo of the head, it is impossible to tell which species. |

you can strikethrough 'maybe'. it can only be seen in lateral view. |
