I photographed this species on the "Paddy's pride" Ivy flower in my garden. Date = 18/11/06. Location = Tilehurst, Berkshire, UK. Could someone please confirm whether this a female Melanostoma scalare. Also there appears to be a lime green blob on the left hand side between the middle and front legs. Surely this cannot be an egg at this time of the year? Tony Towner attached the following image: [51.68Kb] Edited by Tony Towner on 23-11-2006 21:56 |
