I tried to key this out, but no chance without more views. So the only way to put a name on this if someone recognizes this fly right away. I think this is a very common species.

it's not only very common but also quite distinctive: Tabanus autumnalis female three rows of grey spots on abdomen, combined with size and lack of eyebands are typical (in Europe) Theo Zeegers |
