My latest point of confusion is how to tell Drosophilidae from Lauxaniidae. So which is this fly? I have only the one photo so I have posted it large. Size, 4.2 mm to rear of wing. It is the same genus as you had HERE, but maybe a more mature specimen. As you can see on the frons, on each side ther are two setae![]() Paul - - - - Paul Beuk on https://diptera.info |

Thanks, Paul, that tip about the two pairs of setae versus three is going to be very helpful to me. I am going to go back now through all my Drosophilid photos and see if I have any Lauxaniids lurking there!
