Dear Theo

The Paradise must be Pyrynees. I pinched my skin to see if it was for real... everything is incredible. Literally dozens and dozens of Ogcodes zonatus! Tachina grossa a feast for our eyes. P. aprica hovering is an amazing experience to testify. Unfortunately, the rain was very scarce and then it was the worst year for collecting BUT I managed to find around 10 tachinids, being 3 of them very, very interesting. I will upload the photos later. Pyrynees have awesome landscapes like they were photoshop! We seem to enter in a virtual reality. It resembles in some way boreal forests. The purity and clarity of the waters is breathtaking.
For those who love insects, Pyrynees must be a stopover! I want to come back today to Pyrynees!!! Smile

Well, later I will show mine photos of this fantastic Oestrus ovis. Smile

And finally the detail of the head.
This is in honour to Rámon for his kindness hospitality, and for the great times we had with Isidro as well.

The oestrid is really an Oestrus ovis.
