Thank you very much for your last comments. There is one more small Muscidae? swarm today, but these specimen are not collected. Perhaps there is a chance to identify one or two specimen. Thanks in advance. Frank #5243 species with red legs Germany / NRW: Bornheim, IV.2006 #2127 species with red abdomen Germany / NRW: Bornheim, V.2004 Edited by Frank Koehler on 28-10-2006 23:28 |

I agree with Nikita about the Phaonia. The third photo appears to be Musca domestica. Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |

Thank you very much Nikita & Tony, #1 ist ok, #2 is embarrassing for me - I have done everything to avoid a photo of Musca domestica Greetings Frank --------------------------------------------------- Col.: http://www.koleop...de/gallery Het.: http://www.hetero... --------------------------------------------------- |

You should have tried harder, Frank. It's really quite easy to avoid taking a photo of Musca domestica. On the first three pages of a Google image search, exactly 50% of the "Musca domestica" were other species (some not even muscids). Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |
