Which Asilid?

Medium size asilid (about 10mm), found yesterday in Portugal, near the coast. No idea of the species.

Are you sure about the size? Did you collect the animal? I think this is Machimus nevadensis or maybe M concinnus. Used key by EO Engel both species are known from Spain. Maybe a local expert will know more....

Thak you, Reinoud. It was pretty large, maybe a little more than 10mm. Sorry, I don't collect the critters, omly shoot them...
