Good evening, arranging the last photos i?m stumbling im tripped over these Bibionidae, all found in our garden:

Bibio hortulans ? - male and female? (V.2004)

The second one is indeed most likely a female Bibio hortulanus.
(i cannot exclude rare species like anglicus).
the first one is a female as well, probably in the varipes-lanigerus group.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
