 Hello,

I photographed this fly in the Gennargentu Mountains, Sardinia (NU), Italy, 1820m a.s.l. on May 13th 2025. I think it is a Bibio, but is it possible to identify its species based on these photos?

 I think it's a male B. varipes (I've compared reticulatus, varipes and johannis, maybe there's another resembling species in Italy?)

 Italy is tricky, but I dont seenehybit couldnt be johannis ... varipes seems quite unlikely to me. Legs much too orange
