Hi

Doli fly ? with minus 5 mm. Very small fly. Above tree, I think it is trunk of Quercus sp. Taken near river...
Look at the mouthpart! It looks like a shield...

The fly has a bizarre position in relation to tree. ALmost vertical.

The fly looks like
Medetera flavipes Meigen, 1824: Syst.Beschr. 4: 61 [Medeterus].
If possible, I shall put it to Doli hopmepage http://www.dolicho.narod.ru/

Hi Grichanov

Yes, I give you permission to use my photo. I took this photo on 19th September 2006 about 2 pm very near river D?o. (Location: P?voa D?o - Silgueiros - VISEU - PORTUGAL). Camera: Canon 30D; Lense: Sigma 105 mm EX. Observations: I used manual focus to obtain this photo. This fly was above a trunk tree. (tree was suspensed in the air!)
My name is JORGE ALMEIDA (motalmeida is not a real name).
Feel free to use the big image that I put on my flickr. here:
