i?m sorry i don?t have now my image editing program and the pics are big, i thought it waws curious, sorry for the links: http://www.insect...ge_id=3833 detail: http://www.insect...ge_id=3843 in case it?s got really 6 legs, could it be braulidae as for bees?? i?ve never seen a parasitic fly so pale.. |

It's a water mite - Hydrachnidae - many of the larvae will attach themselves to emerging flies. It's how they get from pond to pond. It does have six legs (and two palps) - most larval mites have 6 legs, while the nymphs and adults have 8 (mostly). Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |
