I caught this at Havenhoofd on the Isle of Goerree-Overflakkee, The Netherlands on 6 may 2010. It resembles me of a Dolichopodidae, but I'm not sure. has anybody have an idea about the family (or genus?). The abdomen is slightly damaged.

According to Brauns "Puppen terricoler Dipteren-larven" they may be Cecidomyiidae or Lycoriidae (=Sciaridae) because they have protuding acute horns (lateral view). Then they are not aquatic but accidently fallen in water. This is the only idea. Possibly something else............Frown Tanyderidae?
Possibly wing venation may help. It is not clear from the photo where the real veins are and where the folds.

The fact that it is most likely a terrestrial representative is good enough for me, right now. In the future I hope I can sort it out, but for the work I'm doing now, this is not relevant. For Paul: I was not paying attention to the antenna, and your right in being it a Nematoceran species. I was more focused to these peculariar pronotal horns. Thanks to both.
