Hello! This Cheilosia male from Thursday at a hedge (northwest Germany) was as big as a large Eristalis tenax. Could it be Cheilosia orthotricha? Larger pics and some more Cheilosias: http://insektenfo...adid=33308 Juergen Peters attached the following image: [62.55Kb] Edited by Juergen Peters on 13-05-2010 18:28 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

I'd go for Cheilosia himantopus male, but indeed I can't exclude orthotricha from a picture... Greetings Greetings, Gerard Pennards |
