Can anyone confirm that this Asilid (with a small beetle as prey i think) is a Cyrtopogon sp, and is it possible to say which one?

Photographed 17.7.09 in the Spanish Pyrenees near Jaca.

No, it's a female of a Choerades species.

OK many thanks for this help. The 2 genera seem quite similar to me and I'm not sure what characters separate them, but it's good to know which one this belongs to.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
