This larva was discovered in spring in decaying wood of Ulmus. Size about 14 mm.

Hesperinus sp., Hesperinidae. Larva with prothorax divided in 2 parts, one of them is seen as only dorsal part and carry large spiracles. Setae of body short. Larvae develop in strongly decayed wood of birch and other deciduous trees. How to out it to the Gallery - no such family? |
