Hello to all!
In Europe this robberfly would be a Dioctria, as I find. Can this be confirmed for South American cloud forest, too, or are there other genera looking like this?
As far as I remember its size was about 15mm.

Rupert, this is a Eumecosoma sp. (Atomosiini group of Laphriinae, Asilidae).
