Recently, thanks to Jan Willem, I had a chance to contact Dr. Jindrich Rohacek and submit some fresh Sphaeroceridae images for his kind attention. And luckily he managed to identify these flies so I'm glad to present the results.

All of these flies were collected on July 15, 2006 on fresh cow droppings, and all have size 2mm or smaller.

The first one is Chaetopodella scutellaris (Haliday, 1836), probably a male. According to Mr. Rohacek, it's "the only member of this genus in the Palaearctic Region and an easily recognizable species due it velvety black scutellum, ventral spine on mid basitarsus and colour of head".

And the last picture is a male of Coproica, most probably a C. lugubris (Haliday, 1836) according to Dr. Rohacek.
