Is this other photo, the same species : the shape on the abdomen is more lenght that the precedent ??

Yeah - really nice example of a Cylindromyia - nice photos  In my key it looks like it kets to C.auriceps but it would really need close examination of the specimen to be sure. |

Red tip of abdomen = C. bicolor, not in the Central European keys, but quite common in the mediterrean area. Theo Zeegers |
