 Zophomya temula (Tachinidae) perhaps? Smile

PS: tachinids are very far from 'normal' - they're internal parasitoids of other invertebrates - usually lepidoptera. Smile

I meant common in the sense of not rare. And I agree: it's pretty and interesting. Found a huge image of Zophomya temulae and I believe you're spot on! Thanks,

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
