Dear friends, these shots are not mine, taken by Vladimir Dmitriev 2009:05:06 in Dalnegorsk (Far East of Russia). As I know, Haruka elegans (Okada, 1938) occurs in Japan only. The key character (R2+3 diverges from Rs a lot more distally of rm) is quite visible, IMHO, male's eyes are close together so P. holoptica (Pachyneuridae) |

However, I asked Vladimir to collect these flies, if possible. BTW, Dalnegorsk is about 250 km from the Far East Ussuriysky reservation (the origin of at least three pinned specimens in Mamaev's collection). |
