Found this little weevil on a fencing post, next to the beach about 50m from my house. Can anyone give it a name? Size 3-4mm.

Thanks Paul...I found a photo of Apion frumentarium which looks the same and is on my Checklist. The other Apion sp. on my list are A.cruentatum and A.haematodes

I think there have been some complicated taxonomic / nomenclatural changes in these red Apions in the last couple of decades, so tread carefully. The 2008 beetle checklist on the Coleopterist website might help, or at least demonstrate the problem.
